Dive Site
Malapascua
The only place in the world where thresher sharks are seen daily.
About this destination
What makes it worth it
Malapascua sits at the northern tip of Cebu and is one of the world's premier dive destinations — specifically for thresher sharks. Every morning at dawn, thresher sharks rise from the deep to visit Monad Shoal for cleaning stations. It's one of the most reliable shark dives on the planet.
Above water, Malapascua is a small, low-key island with white sand beaches, simple guesthouses, and a fishing community that has shaped the place for generations. Divers come for the sharks and most end up staying longer than planned.
