What makes it worth it
Carnaza is as far north as Cebu goes: a remote island with reefs that see very few visitors and an underwater landscape that's had time to recover. The journey is long (four-plus hours from Bantayan), which is exactly why it's still worth making.
The island has a small community, basic accommodation, and the kind of isolation that makes the trip feel like an actual expedition. Best done as a two-day overnight to make the travel worthwhile.
