Beach & Island
Carnaza Island
The kind of island people talk about after they've been.
About this destination
What makes it worth it
Carnaza is as far north as Cebu goes — a remote island with reefs that see very few visitors and an underwater landscape that's had time to recover. The journey is long (four-plus hours from Bantayan), which is exactly why it's still worth making.
The island has a small community, basic accommodation, and the kind of isolation that makes the trip feel like an actual expedition. Best done as a two-day overnight to make the travel worthwhile.
Things to do
- Snorkeling on undisturbed coral reefs
- Fishing with the local community
- Cliff jumping at designated spots
- Beach camping
Best time to visit
March to May when seas are calmest for the long crossing. Not recommended during typhoon season (June–October).
How to get there
A 4–5 hour bangka trip from northern Cebu ports. Best arranged as a 2-day overnight. Message us to plan a custom Carnaza trip.
