What makes it worth it
Kalanggaman is the island that ends up on every Philippines travel list, and unlike most, it actually delivers. A 400-metre sandbar juts into water that shifts through every shade of blue — electric turquoise at the edges, deep cobalt further out. There's no road to it, no resort on it, and limited daily visitor numbers keep it from feeling overrun.
Getting there is part of the experience: a ferry crossing from Bantayan to Palompon, Leyte, then a two-hour bangka ride across open water. We handle all logistics. You arrive with time to explore both sides of the bar, swim, and have lunch before the return trip.

Best time to visit
February to May for the clearest water and calmest crossings. The two-hour bangka ride makes rough-season visits uncomfortable.
How to get there
Ferry from Santa Fe to Palompon, Leyte (approx. 2 hours), then bangka to Kalanggaman (approx. 2 hours). Our day-trip package includes all transfers, the entrance fee, and a packed lunch.
