Beach & Island
Hilantagaan Island
Virgin Island's quieter neighbour — and worth every minute.
About this destination
What makes it worth it
Hilantagaan sits just north of Virgin Island and sees a fraction of the visitors. The reef system here is more intact, the coves are shallower, and on most days you'll share the water with more fish than people.
It's the kind of spot that doesn't have a social media moment — just good snorkeling, clear water, and the kind of quiet that's hard to find once you know where to look.
Things to do
- Snorkeling on intact coral reefs
- Swimming and wading in shallow coves
- Beachcombing
Best time to visit
November to May. Best combined with a Virgin Island stop on the same bangka trip.
How to get there
A short bangka extension from Virgin Island, or reachable directly from Santa Fe pier in about 45 minutes. Often included in island-hopping packages.
