Ogtong Cave is a natural freshwater pool inside a limestone cave on the Santa Fe shoreline. The cave formed over millennia and the pool is cold, clear, and entirely unlike the saltwater you've been swimming in all week. It sits within the Santa Fe Resort grounds, which charges day-use access.
The combination of cave swimming and the adjacent beach makes it worth a half-day visit. Go early to avoid the resort guests and school groups that tend to arrive mid-morning.
